Original post 12 Feb 2016:
The Beehive Building, 1935 by the interesting #interwarmelbourne architect Joseph Plottel, who designed mainly flats in a range of styles from Tudor to modernist. This bldg always fascinated me, one of the many #tallthinbuildings found in the #melbCBD, 10 storeys built up to the #132ftheightlimit, v vertical but Plottel decided to emphasise the horizontal…. Side view – tall, thin, and shallow too, with a big #lightcourt – really just one office in front, one in back.
