I reckon this looks quite good, even through the trees. Not sure why, maybe it’s the unusual #pattern or colour combo, or just because the slightly green #blinds go well with the trees (or do they look green because of the trees?). Maybe because of its unusual genesis ? It’s a #palimpsest, grey #barcode cladding from c2001 by #H2Oarchitects over the plum coloured #spandrels of the original 1959 office building by #BernardEvans, itself unusual for its #hopperwindows, the black framed rectangles that opened, since it wasn’t air conditioned. It’s recently been #heritagelisted despite the alterations, which are reversible. Just as well since the #LawInstitute just sold it – might end up facaded, though it’s a v small lot, though quite deep.
