Holt’s Chambers in #ChapelStreetPrahran is I think the only large pre WW2 #officebuilding outside the CBD – thought it was a department store like the other big buildings along here, but no, it’s a Chambers, which had 4 shops, electric lifts, and the Gainsborough Photographic Studios on the top floor. Designed by A H Fisher, and built in 1911. Bought by the #PrahranMission in 1946, been there ever since !
