The randomly #supertall 90 storey #AuroraMelbourne by @elenberg_fraser has pretty much #toppedout – also almost looks like the rendering from the State Library forecourt if you fiddle with it a lot. And looming up from upper Swanston street too.
Hadn’t realised #AuroraMelbourne is actually on the #SwanstonStreetAxis looking south; and it’s as tall as it’s going to be (90 floors). I quite like it, enough curves and slender proportions to be attractive. #SwanstonCentral on the other hand, on the right, isn’t nearly as elegant, relying on different coloured glass to make its 72 floors look more vertical, but they barely register. It’s got maybe 10 floors to go. Hmm maybe the idea is it’s just green blending to pink ? Doesn’t register from the north, the fattest side, for which there are no renderings.
