A fine huge intact #Victorianshopfront in #BridportStreet, #AlbertPark; actually it’s 1901 which makes it officially Edwardian, but the style of the facade is very much that of the 1880s, while the window is much bigger than the average 1880s one. The verandah may be a 1980s reproduction; it’s got what looks like the shield from the crest of the former #CityOfSouthMelbourne, extinguished in 1994 – putting those shields in in the 80s seemed to be the fashion, never sure that they originally had them.
