The #GeelongRegionalLibrary west side in the last rays of sunlight – fantastic sparkle. Definitely a #crystalline #grotto, shades of griffins capitol theatre perhaps, or the sparkle of thought within the #bigbrain. It’s a #dome with #geodesic panels but it’s not a #geodesicdome (I think). Actually not a dome but a #sphere, cut away on three sides. Monument but not. Soooo #postmodern. Very #ARMarchitecture.
I was afraid the #GeelongLibrary would dominate the #GeelongPeaceMemorial Foyer, but somehow it doesn’t. I’ve think the unusual #spherical design references library domes and brains, but also allows for a large five floor building that doesn’t look like one.
