Fairly intact lobby and lift – oops all gone.

Just wrote an article about how there’s only one #oldlift left in the #MelbCBD that isn’t #heritagelisted (in #PawsonHouse) and just found this one ! Maybe won’t be round much longer, but it’s there. In what was the #ESandABank in the corner of Eliz & #LaTrobeStreet, built in 1928, designed by Butler & Martin (Butler was at the end of his career, #MarcusMartin’s about to take off, mainly with Toorak houses). Nice lobby, though not much more than a corridor and no particular design flourishes, just sh*tloads of #marble. #ChadwickModels are on the top floor, I guess they’re fit enough to use the stairs !
