From Swanston Street opposite the ex brewery – when I saw the plans for the one at the back, which faces Queensberry St, I couldn’t believe they were proposing apartments looking only into a #lightwell on the side of the building, or that the planners thought it was ok ! Between 4 and 5 pm or so they (almost) get direct sun – at least until someone builds 10 storeys behind retained facades of the Victorian shops. I think this one wouldn’t pass the Victorian Apartment Standards 2017, though it just says ‘adequate daylight’ without saying what that is. The building is called ‘The Eminence’ 🙄 by @plusarchitecture Update : the shops are still intact.
