Westray Villa, Canning Street, #NorthCarlton, 1881. A fully intact parapet for my #melbterraceparapet collection. This is elaborate but pretty typical, with a central #clamshell, #ladyface #keystone, but it’s got its urns, complete with spikes. It’s the only fully intact one in a row of 10, so maybe it’s the only one that’s been restored – though the first 4 are a bit different to other 6, which this one seems to one of, but it has more detailing, maybe it’s been over restored ? It faces Davis Street, which is just about all little cottages like this one, with very few intact parapets.
