Normamby Chambers, Little Collins Street, built in 1883, designed by Reed Henderson & Smart (so possibly Joseph Reed himself) for politician, lawyer and speculator MH Davies. Not terribly exciting, though the liberal use of incised and stylised decoration on flat surfaces is unusual (and low cost), and it makes a great termination for the vista up Bank Place. Doesn’t seem to have anything original internally. Ground floor includes restaurant Chancery Lane, once Vue De Monde, which took advantage of opening out onto the driveway/lane created by the RACV club next door in 2005. Last pic Wikipedia.
