3 August 2015:
Amongst the #urbanmess of Russell Street, a rather nice #queenanne commercial building with a densely packed but wonderfully rhythmical #parapet level.
Surprisingly not much info other than its c1900, but I rekon c1890 (2024 update – it is 1890 π, architect EJ Henderson). Built by financier and MP (Sir) Edward Miller, and occupied by mainly Chinese businesses from the beginning, as it still is (love #maximscakes).
Built along with three more shop/house/offices to the south, with matching piers but different windows, and only the middle one hasnβt been stripped of decoration (pic 3, 1985 Graeme Butler).
