Spacious 60s flats, Elsternwick

A rather luxe 1960s #blockofflats at 247 #GlenEiraRoad, #Elsternwick; its got huge windows and strips of marble and fancy #wroughtiron balustrades, and semi-hidden parking – only four spots and four letterboxes – only 4 flats. I think they’re all 3 beds, quite spacious. The lounges face north over the house next door, front ones also have that side bedroom balcony. Parquetry floors, wood paneling, some original kitchens and baths at least from adds i could see, yum. Update : I think this is when I started to realise that not all mid century flats were the same, some are really quite interesting, thoughtful designs, maybe with fun details, and usually more spacious than new builds (I do like a separate kitchen), though the cars often too much on show. Some are just now getting heritage listed, but not in the @cityofgleneira, where they only just listed about 30 postwar houses and flats, out of many dozens of fine examples.
