Very surprised to be taken into the carpark for Aldi in South Melbourne, and it’s all huge old factory metal truss roofs ! Three of them (pics 1,2,3). The building is graded as Significant within a little industrial precinct but I can’t find anything more.
Update : thanks to @elledee14 I looked in the right place, and the two tallest bays were built for long established iron foundry Monteath & Sons in 1923, and the lower one added in the 1950s. Im imagining giant pots of molten metal, lots of heat and noise ! The exterior has been altered a lot I’d say, doesn’t look like much.
