Ex-pub, corner Kerr and Fitzroy Streets, Fitzroy. It was once the West of England Hotel c1864 but maybe rebuilt later, closed late 1920s. Corner door filled in, and probably had little attic rooms where those filled in square things are. Photos 2015 when it was Caprice panel beaters, owned by ‘slum landlord’ Frank Cassar. He amassed surrounding houses, flouting tenancy laws as he rented them out. He died in 2011, the business then run by his sons (I lived nearby they, were scary), but his estate wasn’t sorted until 2021 because his wife forged a will (!). Finally the site was put up for sale earlier this year.
