70s Italianate

70s Italianate

Yes it’s a bit dire, but it is called ‘la piazza’, so a lot of concrete makes sense ? It’s actually behind one facing the street called ‘la fontana’, and there is in fact a fountain. Think I just like the crazy boldness of those balustraded balconies. Possibly an Italian migrant builder ? Curious op-art doors, which show that the Body Corp needs a special levy for repainting. Seems to be modest 2 beds, found a pic of an original kitchen c1972? now gone, very classical, like the outside. It’s on Glenhuntly Road, opposite the Hopetoun Gardens, which also features overgrown topiary shrubs.

I was surprised that most if the comments on Instagram were positive, and it’s considered a local landmark.
