Cute but careworn Deco thing at the bottom of Chapel Street near Carlisle. Unusual in that it looks like it was built as an office with a flat or flats above and behind. It also sticks out because there’s a big carpark next door. The office is a lawyers with an old hand painted sign for Fogarty Oliver & Rothschild, and they’re still there; it’s right next to the St Kilda Police Station, perhaps they get some business from that ? Earliest ad I can find is for a Joseph Lynch solicitor here in 1941, so perhaps it’s always been a lawyers, and was built in that year.
