It’s a pretty grand terrace in Grey Street St Kilda, possibly 1870s, maybe 1880s, set back behind large gardens, and the most visible one missing its verandah. But lots of great detailing up top. (Beautiful autumn creepers too in 2025).
That house was sold in 2004, when it was mauve inside. Then it was featured in the Design Files in 2019, showing a very nice interior, if you like plain walls devoid of all the Victorian decorative detail seen in the 2004 photo ! Though they might have been stripped before the new owners bought it in 2013.
The interior of the adjacent one is much nicer (pics 2009), great polished timber work. Other photos from winter 2021.
