There’s a lot of #frontportionism in #DorcasStreet, #SouthMelbourne near the market. This is my ideal kind of compromise, keeping a good chunk of the old, the new doesn’t overly #dominate. Though maybe it does a bit given these two are on corners. And the second one unfortunately includes a lower not to the left that would be ok if it was one floor less. But they always push it …. of course they do that’s what develop do, like sharks, can’t blame them really. At least in this area near the market, there are firm #heightlimits and #heritageguidelines, not like other inner suburban #shoppingstrips, where they’d keep only a facade then maybe 3m back step up to 10 storeys ☹️
