All that’s left of the 1880s #MiddleParkStation building after the fire of the night of 17th Feb 2018 – I pass by most days but hadn’t noticed it had burned down till I read about it ! (too much #tramstagramming?) It had been a cafe called #MART130 (tram backwards plus stop number) since at least 2006 where patrons sat at cute old tables while #trams stopped right in front. Didn’t look too damaged, but guess it was, ‘cos there almost nothing left. It’s going to be reconstructed according to the recent-ish signs ‘this summer’; the cafe’s Facebook page says it’s been terrible dealing with @YarraTrams, no response, no urgency, so not scheduled to be done till May (though Yarra Trams paying for the basic reconstruction). If it wasn’t for these #stanchions, you wouldn’t know something was missing.
