Always thought the #AlbertParkHotel was a bit plain, turns out because it’s meant to have a bold contrasting #colourscheme, love the huge lettered name, twice, wonder how the smaller one got changed. Also, it’s obvious it was once Victorian, and the #StKildaHistoricalSociety has a photo, it was rather nice, but not outstanding, and I suppose neither was the 30d version. Poor old #AlbertParkHotel, in #BridportStreet, yet more #facadism – rather large scale this time, a whole three storey pub cleared out of all its brick walls, timber floors, doors, chimneys everything – though maybe the upper floors didn’t have anything much to see and the ground floor altered many times, but still ! It’s going to be a pub again, and then three floors of offices for the Colonial Leisure Group, who own this and many other pubs.
