Sad to hear #CherryBar is leaving due to sale of the building, not that I ever went there, but not surprised either, given the lanes have (nearly) all been well and truly ‘discovered’ now, and can command higher rents, even the #graffitiart attracts tourists (as here) rather than making it extra grungy for low rent uses. And so much for naming the lane #ACDC, no music left here! At least the building is now protected – it wasn’t until 5 months ago ! 1886, great arched side windows, etc. Interim listing as part of the #FlindersLane East precinct, basically everything on the south side for 2 blocks, which has held on, just, until now. Though this building and those either side are extra protected by #101collins buying them up to protect their views !
