Former #MelbourneTeachersCollege, now part of #MelbourneUniversity, and called the #1888building (even though it was built 1889-91). By far the most OTT example of #queenanne plus #Elizabethan, or maybe it’s #Jacobethan ? Architect #GBHAustin for the #PublicWorksDepartment. Impossible to take a photo of the whole building it’s very wide, lots of trees and faces south to boot – but I found an aerial, and a photo from 1930, with graduating teachers, and 1958. The stair inside is a bit crazy, stepped bannisters ?
