Mansions of the #GildedAge, or at least a retail king in #EdwardianMelbourne. Dalsraith was built in 1906 for Mr Gibson of the #FoyandGibson department store empire, which dominated Smith Street. #UssherandKemp turned the picturesque #QueenAnne into a formal, really grand somewhat #TudorStyle mansion, rather oddly facing up the hill off #StudleyParkRoad. Later added to the Catholic houses and institutions in this areas as #CampionCollege, now Campion Retreat. The only interiors are a few snapshots from the national trust listing prob from the 70s – but looks pretty good !
