The speccy Del Marie in #StLeonardsAve #StKilda, one of best Art Deco blocks around, partly because it’s so 3D, and sticks up, with that little tower marking the stairs down the side. A bit hidden by a majestic palm, and a lush garden. Built 1937, designed by #StuartHall, who didn’t do a lot, this is his best, but Granada Flats, Orrong Rd, also good (last pic). Inside seems to be 6 one beds, relatively spacious, nice double doors, curved corners, and at least the ground floor front with nice unpainted timber. The black box addition on top by @wood_marsh early 2000s ? used to really bother me, a bit too ‘obviously modern’, but I’m used to it now.
