Ive always sort of liked this thing, thrusting up from amongst older shops, topped by a variety of shapes and materials that look like industrial ad-hoc. It’s on Inkerman Street St Kilda just off Barkly, and I had some vague idea it was famous, and here’s what I found : called Luxe, it was built in 1998, back when this was still a seedy/ordinary corner, designed by @openjournal_neometro , a conversion (and addition ?) of an older industrial building, with 10 apartments and 10 live/work lofts, one for Neometro themselves. The ground level was Luxe restaurant, the best one in St Kilda for a couple of years apparently. Also, I didn’t realise the lower part next door was part of it. Pics 5,6 from Neometro website, a brief Google got me two apartments that look to the back or side.
