April 2026
I see a lop-sided face. Interesting house in Highett Street Richmond with an almost Vienna Sezession look in concrete or render on an angled plan. I thought it was by Robinson Chen, a practice from the mid 1980s that did a lot of houses in Richmond, drawing from monumental work by Corb, Kahn and Barragan, but not sure, nothing on line.

But a block away there’s a house pair that is by them, one with a big round window and battered wall, which I remember from the time – I think no fence and light grey or even pink back then. The only confirmation however is the real estate listing from 2001, with a plan and a couple of interiors.
