Footscray Junior Technical School, 1941, #PercyEverett at his finest, a grand entry set on and inside corner, with curves and counter-curves, a circular vestibule, some great brickwork, topped by a pair of flagposts – the only thing is there’s trees in front, and a big newer block, and a slight slope down, meaning it doesn’t really have any street presence anymore on busy #BallaratRoad, but, it’s there, and looking fine. Even the extra floor doesn’t distract too much. Now #VictoriaUniversityMelbourne, #FootscrayPark campus.

I think maybe that #stripwindow has an new second layer inside, and they’ve replaced the #SteelFramedWindows with #aluminium, obscuring the angular brick piers inside in the process, but it’s ok.
