Repost from this day 2017: The #ArtDeco 1934 #O’DonnellFountain, in the O’Donnell Gardens, both named I now know after Edward O’Donnell, local government councillor for forty-four years and six time Mayor of St Kilda. He died in 1932, and enough people liked him enough to raise the $ to build this, which is nice. (I must say however if it’s a fountain, I’ve never seen water flow; it’s also called a drinking fountain, but I don’t see how you’d drink from it). Late arvo light.
