Brick wall – paint frame

you’ll never guess what’s in here ! It’s called the ‘#PaintFrame’ at #HerMajestysTheatre, sticking out from the side – a fabbo very tall thin structure in which whole theatre backdrops were painted by scenic artists, some on the floor below, getting dripped on by those on the floor above; the backdrop was put on a huge counter weighted frame, so it could go up and down for easy access (it was then folded up for transport to the stage). This is the only one left in Australia, was added in about 1900 to the 1886 theatre, and is unused but on the #victorianheritageregister, so it should be safe.
