Assembly Hall, 1915

Repost this day 2018, then two from a couple of weeks ago (all very edited):

The #AssemblyHall was built in 1915, next to #ScotsChurch, designed by #HHKemp in a suitably Gothic style, complete with tower, to complement the 1874 church. It includes a hall for the ‘assembly’ of the Scots Church, and I’m sure rented out too, as well as offices above and a semi-basement shop too. Comprehensively renovated some years ago with the $5mill they got from leasing out the site where the black stump Westpac Office block plonked to the north of the church. Still angry about that one.
