Abandoned looking house in Blenheim Street Balaclava, complete with truck. But maybe it’s lived in since behind the screen door it seemed to be open, though there’s no path through the garden…..anyway, these situations are usually an older person who doesn’t want to or can’t tidy up, maybe hasn’t got any family, could be a sad story – but I kind of like whole look, various objects strewn about, a clear sense of age, of time passing inevitably on.

Balaclava was always a S.E suburb of Melbourne with decent sized blocks of land and well looked after by the Council. Because each block was pricy, I wonder why this property was not grabbed quickly and rebuilt.
