The London Hotel in #ElizabethStreet was built in 1911, and was designed by the rather prolific #NahumBarnet; even though it’s a jaunty Edwardian with Flemish gables and interesting cast iron, I’ve never really taken much notice, maybe cos it’s a bit dominated, and all one colour. I do remember it’s last days in the 80s when it had a rather good 70s space age bar, with silver walls and craters in the ceiling. Then it closed for ever I thought, but got added to a bit (well setback) and reopened as a #Formule1 hotel a few years ago ! Now it’s an ibis.
