Mereen and Alton, #BurnettStreetStKilda, another case of 30s flats both with side gardens facing each other, virtually shared, presumably one came first the other followed, nice idea. I lived in the top middle of Alton in the early 90s the only drawback was you could pretty much see straight into the opposite lounge rooms. Exact dates and architects unknown, but the square blocky modernist lines of Meereen means it gets a separate heritage study listing, but they’re both ‘significant’.
