Punt Road Oval #grandstand is not protected, and Richmond determined to demolish. It’s quite old, built 1914, the left bit added 1927, v old school, timber structure with posts right in front, other old ones nicer, but it’s not bad. Richmond hopes to replace it with a whiz bang new one one, but need extra $. B&W pic us 1949, a crowd of 40,000 watching a game against Carlton. Update 2021: late last year they released a new design, a bit with the look of the existing, but need to raise $30m to do it.
